Your applications and web sites can easily interface with mBLAST's database using the mBLAST APIs. mBLAST's system is designed to be open to external interfaces, and accepts data in a number of import formats and feeds.

mBLAST provides two kinds of APIs:

ATOM/RSS
To easily submit your data into mBLAST without web services programming, just set up an ATOM or RSS feed on your web site, including the information defined by our extensions, and tell us where to find the file by sending the URL to our Customer Support. Our system can then pick up your data on a scheduled basis.

Web Services
For retrieving information from mBLAST, or more sophisticated data management functions, use mBLAST's Web Services. We currently support a RESTful interface. You send an HTTP GET or POST to call one of the API's methods, and you'll get back an XML document in return.

mBLAST also has custom feed APIs for many specific implementations -- if you need something specific, contact mBLAST Customer Support and we'll be happy to set something up with you.
